Charming pair of 19th century French Louis XV armchairs, traditionally referred to as King and Queen chairs for their graduated proportions. The carved and painted wood frames feature gently arched backs, shaped aprons, open upholstered arms and cabriole legs. Upholstered in a rich blue textured velvet with coordinating upholstered backs, seats and armrests. The subtle variation in scale gives the pair wonderful character while retaining a cohesive appearance.
