French Antique Louis XVI Swan Neck Daybed or Chaise Lounge with New Upholstery

Elegant 19th century French Empire walnut daybed or chaise lounge featuring carved swan neck ends. The cushioned seat within padded ends of unequal height with gilded swan necked facing boards with diamond crests on each end over a paneled apron applied with florets  on four lovely classic tapered turned feet. This smart and opulent chaise is typical of classic French Louis XVI design in its elaborate reinterpretation of earlier 19th century Empire styles, which in turn were derived from Ancient Greek and Roman models. New upholstery in a neutral high end British pale beige fabric. Nice original condition, minimal wear throughout and extremely comfortable! This classy bed was made to be viewed from both sides (both sides boast florets and lovely carved swans), so can be placed in the middle of any room!
