French Louis XVI Style Two Piece Bergere Chair and Ottoman Set, Duchesse Brisee or Chaise Lounge Set Newly Upholstered

Elegant duchesse brisee in walnut from the 19th century. This lovely two piece chair and ottoman set can be used separately or together; together the ottoman has a face with a slightly convex shape which comes to marry the shape of the front of the bergere chair. Likewise, this set can be used to recline as in a chaise lounge! New upholstery, lovely brass banding detail and inlaid walnut with gold florets adorning the top of each leg of the ottoman and the front legs of the bergere chair. Found in the South of France near Avignon!
