French Antique Pair of Marble Top Burlwood Inlaid Nightstands or Side Tables with Figural Marquetry

Stunning pair of antique French burlwood inlaid marble-top night stands, the top drawer being the sole working drawer; the lower door front is a cabinet door, with upper and lower shelves; the interior of the lower shelf is lined with its original white carrera marble (one of the shelves is missing its side piece).  Beautiful gray with veining on its original marble tops. The drawer fronts are cross banded with mahogany and inlaid with boxwood, with inlaid mother of pearl diamonds. The sides and lower shelf have book matched veneers and mahogany cross banding. The front of each cabinet door has a beautifully done inlaid marquetry pair of cherubs on clouds, with floral adornment; a work of art!
