Elegant antique pair of French Louis XV style walnut wingback bergères from the 19th century, with completely carved frame décor, new neutral high end upholstery and Louis XVI classic features. Created in France, this pair of wingback bergères or lounge chairs showcases the stylistic characteristics of the Louis XVI era. Each chair features a wingback, designed to give more privacy to the sitter, carved with ribboning motifs on its rails. The arms are flanking a rectangular seat with central cushion. The ensemble is raised on four turned and carved legs, connected to one another through an apron carved with delicate ribboning in the front. With their graceful lines and skillfully carved décor, this pair of French Louis XV style walnut wingback bergère chairs or arm chairs will make for a wonderful addition to any home, placed in a living room or bedroom.
