Pair of 19th Century French Louis XVI Carved Walnut Bergere Arm Chairs Newly Upholstered

A French pair of timeless and elegant period Louis XVI armchairs from the 19th century. This antique pair of chairs from France each features a shapely, upholstered back, with elegantly arched crest rail, all framed within molded wood trim. Carved wood arms, with manchette pads for comfort, terminate into scrolled knuckles. Front arm supports are embellished with acanthus-leaf and ribbon carvings. The apron mimics the simplistic trim of the back edges, with carved ribbon accents, all raised on four rounded and flute carved legs, which taper gently and sit on toupie feet. This pair of 19th century French Louis XVI  bergere armchairs are exquisitely carved and are complete with new high quality British cotton/linen neutral fabric upholstery.
