French Early 19th Century Period Set of Two Louis XVI Aubusson Tapestry Armchairs and Matching Sofa or Settee
Product Barcode Id: 00006058This magnificent set of two armchairs and sofa or settee (which can be sold separately) are part of a period French Louis XVI five-piece carved walnut parlor suite, richly upholstered in exceptional and rare handwoven Aubusson tapestries. The set includes four armchairs and a sofa or canapé, each finely carved with giltwood detail. The quality of the Aubusson tapestries is wonderful; some minor wear and marks (see photos), commensurate with the age of the pieces. Difficult to find such a set in such good condition! Bought in the South of France.
