These two magnificent armchairs (which can be sold as a set) are part of a period French Louis XVI five-piece carved walnut parlor suite, richly upholstered in exceptional and rare handwoven Aubusson tapestries. The set includes four armchairs and a sofa or canapé, each finely carved with giltwood detail. The quality of the Aubusson tapestries is wonderful; some minor wear and marks (see photos), commensurate with the age of the pieces. Difficult to find such a set in such good condition! Bought in the South of France.
