Elegant French 19th century caned oak armchairs, featuring finely hand-woven cane backs and seats framed by richly carved wood with graceful, scrolling silhouettes of acanthus leaf motifs and a center highly carved shell crest. Fitted (removable) plush mohair seat cushions upholstered in a soft, muted blue green. Incredible carving throughout, lovely balanced proportions, sculpted arms, and crossed "X" stretchers. Sophisticated yet inviting, these chairs bring an effortless sense of Old World refinement to any curated interior. From Provence, France.
