Beautiful large Empire gold gilt and ivory mirror which is an elegant statement piece. The giltwood finish is complemented by a lovely early painted white washed gesso patina, and the neoclassical embossed motif is a classic French form. A lovely rectangular shape, the surfaces all decorated with gilt-gesso decorations consisting of friezes of foliate scrolls, neoclassical rosettes, and egg and dart moldings, in near perfect condition! Original mirror glass is lovely! Bought in the South of France. Price includes shipping to anywhere in the US.
