Elegant Louis XVI ormolu mounted classic French marble top coffee table with Brass Border from Paris, France. An exceedingly fine example from the Parisian cabinetmaker Mercier Frères from the first quarter of the 20th century, this fabulous coffee table or cocktail table has a marble top that is a wonderful white with grayish green lines marble surface in very good shape with no breaks surrounded by a brass gallery, this projected over the body with corners that curve outward in conformity with the columns of the table. The brass work around all exposed edges is of the highest quality. The cabinet is supported by four elegant legs with perfect cannelures and turned and gilt bronze feet. Found in Paris, France!
