Elegant and charming pair of late 19th century carved armchairs, fauteuils or lounge chairs featuring newly upholstered walnut frames. The large frames are decorated in the French Provincial or Louis XV taste with shell rocaille motifs on the apron. The deep molded frames have a gracefully curved serpentine back and scrolled arms. The generous seats and arms are upholstered with a French high end neutral beige and white fabric. The seats are supported by cabriole legs ending with scrolled escargot feet. From the South of France!
