Set of Three French Carved Wood and Leather Bergere Arm Chairs with Nailhead Trim, Mid 20th C
Product Barcode Id: 00005212A set of three 100-year-old French carved wood and leather upholstered armchairs from the early 20th century, Louis XVI, featuring elegantly shaped backs, flanked within prominent shoulders that flow gently down onto the arms which terminate into volute carved knuckles. The skirt is carved in gentle swags about all sides, and the chairs are presented upon cabriole legs connected by an "X" stretcher. These classic and versatile French armchairs, with their generous sized seats, will make a comfy and sophisticated yet intimate seating arrangement for your home or office, could serve as dining chairs on either end of a table, or could serve as a desk chair as well. One of the seats has a repaired rip at the front (facing it) left arm - see photos. Will consider selling one separately.
