These antique walnut tete-a-tetes (loveseats) feature a straight top-rail along the back, over a double carved splat back in a a series of finely carved oval wreaths framed by fluted uprights. The outscrolled arms flow seamlessly into clean tapering supports above a generously proportioned upholstered seat, newly reupholstered in a neutral linen blend that complements the rich warmth and natural patina of the wood. Raised on slender square tapering legs, the pieces embody the restrained sophistication and architectural balance associated with the finest Italian decorative arts of the period - equally suited to a formal drawing room, entrance hall, or sophisticated contemporary interior.
