Quebec Signed Original Color Etching "Quenouilles" (Cattails) by M. Simard, Numbered 9/50

Product Barcode Id: 00009182
$185.00

Delicate original color etching titled "Quenouilles", the Québécois word for cattails. Three slender cattails and their arching blades rise from a grassy marsh edge, with a still lake and softly stippled blue hills beyond. It's printed in sage green, slate blue and russet brown on warm oatmeal paper. This is a hand-pulled limited edition, pencil-numbered 9/50, titled, and signed "M. Simard" lower right in the margin. A typed label on the reverse reads "Quenouilles (M. Simard) eau forte", alongside the label of Ateliers Dimension Plus, Gravures Originales, Montréal, Québec. Price includes shipping!

The piece comes from the lively Quebec printmaking scene of the late 20th century, when Montreal ateliers issued small hand-pulled editions celebrating the province's lakes, marshes and wildlife.

Presented in its original brushed bronze-tone frame with a double cream mat and gilt rules. A lovely botanical accent for a lake house, powder room or a gallery wall grouping!
