Stunning Period 19th Century French Carved Louis XV Armchairs with Original Paint

An elegant and most decorative set of two French 19th century Louis XV period armchairs, bought in the South of France. Each chair is raised by lovely cabriole legs with fine scrolled feet. Above each leg are richly carved foliate reserves while the scalloped shaped friezes are centered by charming finely detailed foliate movements. Each elegantly scrolled arm displays additional fine foliate carvings. The upholstered back supports are framed within fine patinated borders with most decorative scalloped shaped tops with lovely scrolled movements amidst additional foliate movements. All original paint with lovely patination throughout, and new upholstery.
