A pair of French Louis XV period walnut armchairs from the mid-19th century with new upholstery, but retaining its original period plaid back cloth. Each of this pair features a slightly slanted back, offering the perfect comfort when seated. The open arms are partially upholstered and adorned with scrolled knuckles in the front. Each rectangular seat rests on a lovely sinuous skirt with carved shell and floral motifs and is raised on four cabriole legs, typical of the Rococo era. With their elegant Silhouette, wide seat and lovely patina, this pair of French bergère chairs, circa 1850, will be the perfect addition to any living room, bedroom or dining room!
