A set of 11 Opaque de Sarreguemines, French faïence plates, known as "La Garde Nationale"." Each plate shows a unique black, transfer printed image, relating to a sketch incolving the French National Guard, originally founded in 1789 during the French Revolution. So typically French! A white body with a French blue, fleur de lis pattern on the outer rim. Showing the printed mark with the shield and crown: Sarreguimines, France.
