The square shaped body lined with gold gilt fillet is crowned with a carved scene of a cherub within a seashell, flanked by a pair of phoenix birds with floral, fruit and wheat sheaf adornments. Wonderful symbolism in this beautifully carved 19th century French mirror adorned with phoenix birds and a cherub in the crest holding a sheaf of wheat.
