Early 19th Century French Silver Gilt Painted Carved Neoclassical Floor Lamp
Product Barcode Id: 87271897Graceful and elegant, this early tall floor lamp has history yet is in beautiful shape. Its tall, slender column features carved baluster and urn-like details that give it a sculptural silhouette. Its base is particularly striking; it is a tripod design with scrolled legs, and a diamond-patterned relief, all lending it a sense of old world craftmanship and sophistication. This early floor lamp is so authentic it has glimpses of its red gesso showing through the original timeworn finish of the lovely silver gilt paint. Topped with a wide drum shade, it has been newly rewired for modern day use to standards of the US. A sophisticated elegant decorative accent for lovers of French design. Found in France near Paris.
